Strawberry Simple Syrup
  • 1/3 Cup sugar
  • 2/3 Cup water
  • 1/3 Cup Driscoll’s Strawberries, chopped
Cocktail
  • 3-4 Tbsp. strawberry simple syrup
  • 1 Driscoll’s Strawberry, hulled
  • 3 leaves basil, shredded or torn
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Ounces gin
  • 3 Ounces soda water
  • Crushed ice
Strawberry Simple Syrup
  1. PLACE 1/3 cup sugar into a small saucepan.
  2. ADD 2/3 cup water and 1/3 cup chopped strawberries.
  3. COOK over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and syrup is simmering.
  4. TRANSFER syrup mixture to a glass container and DO NOT STRAIN OUT strawberries.
  5. CHILL in refrigerator at least 1 hour or until syrup is completely cooled.
Cocktail
  1. POUR 3 – 4 tablespoons strawberry simple syrup into a cocktail glass.
  2. ADD 1 strawberry and 3 basil leaves.
  3. MUDDLE until strawberry is pureed and basil is gently crushed.
  4. ADD 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, 2 ounces gin, and 3 ounces soda water.
  5. FILL cocktail glass to top with crushed ice.
  6. GARNISH with additional fresh strawberries and basil.
  7. SERVE immediately.
